Substitute teaching is an excellent job for parents, college students, retirees and anyone that loves with children. Substitute teaching is flexible and a great way to give back to your community while making a nice income. To substitute teach in Missouri, a substitute teaching license is required through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The requirement to apply for a license is a high school diploma and a clean criminal background check.
