12th Grade Graduation

Thank you for your patience as we confirmed which of our venue options best serves our Class of 2022 graduates and students. We heard near-unanimously from students and families that the ability to invite more guests was the most important thing for you when we chose a venue. Because of this, we are moving ahead with our outdoor venue: Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.

Children’s Mercy Park is the home field of our KC soccer team Sporting Kansas City, and has a track record of success with hosting excellent graduation celebrations for KC Metro schools including Ruskin and the Lee’s Summit High Schools. The venue offers many of the same perks as our 2021 commencement at Starlight, including a live stream option for guests who cannot attend and amenities of a large stadium. Because this venue is slightly farther away from EMKS than previous venues, EMKS will offer transportation support to the venue (more details to come). We recommend you begin to plan your transportation now, knowing it will take longer to get to the venue. 

Event: Kauffman School Class of 2022 Commencement Ceremony

Location: Children’s Mercy Park at 1 Sporting Way, Kansas City, KS 66111

Date and Time: Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 6 PM

Student Rehearsal: Tuesday, May 31 at 10 AM

Each graduate will receive 25 tickets to invite guests, with the opportunity to reserve additional tickets later in the month. Children’s Mercy Park uses digital tickets only and graduates and their families will reserve their own tickets directly via SeatGeek. Students will receive the link to reserve tickets this Wednesday at 5 PM. We will send a separate email with directions for this process, as well as how to get support if you have any questions.
