Early Deadline College Acceptance

We've been beaming with joy about the good news seniors Ma'Kahsa and Jackie received recently. Jackie applied early deadline at Kenyon College and was accepted this December with the KEEP scholarship. Ma'Kahsa applied early deadline and was accepted at Macalester College and received the Catharine Lealtad Scholarship.

NexTechEd Event

Several Kauffman School students participated in the NextechEd event. Quynton placed 2nd in the NextechEd Micro Drone High School Showcase, the first ever drone race in Kansas City. Students from 7 different schools competed in this race and we are proud that Quyton represented us!

Student Athletes Making Waves

Congratulations to Skye and Miracle for placing 5th and 2nd, respectively, in the Triple Jump at the MSHSAA Class 3 Section 4 Track and Field Championships. They scored 12 points for the Blue Knights, helping Kauffman School beat multiple scoring teams at their first ever sectional championships appearance. Miracle also represented EMKS at the Class 3 Missouri State Championships this spring!

Students Explore Through Study Abroad

From India to Tanzania to Ecuador, high school students studied abroad this summer through The Experiment in International Living. The program, which typically lasts about 6 weeks, allows students to live with host families, explore a passion area (like public health), and grow an appreciation of new culture and relationships.
