AP Results Are In!

At the Kauffman School, we believe that Advanced Placement (AP) courses push our students' thinking and expose students to the intellectual challenge that mirrors college classes. And, we push for AP access because we know that nationally, black and brown students typically have less opportunity to take these challenging courses (read more about the AP access gap from a student's perspective here: https://bit.ly/2Xv117G). We fundamentally believe that equity in education means students of color SHOULD have opportunities like these.

Some results from this Spring that we are proud to share:

  • 73% of students that took the AP Literature exam scored a 3+ on the exam - this was our students' first year taking the AP Literature exam!
  • 69% of students who took the AP World History exam scored a 3+ on the exam - this was a 30% higher pass rate than last year!
  • 63% of students that took the AP US History exam scored a 3+ on the exam - this was 20% higher pass rate than last year!
  • 50% of students that took the AP Calc exam scored a 3+ on the exam!
